YES!! And it works. I can't tell you how many times blank stares have gotten me through meetings.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I have discovered, since going to work a few years ago outside the home, that there is FEW things on this planet as dull as a business meeting...I would rather watch paint dry..

There's an old saying that "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." Unfortunately, when the going gets tough, the spineless and cowardly also get going...packed into buses and headed to other states to keep Democracy from working.

At least, that's the case in Wisconsin and Indiana, with Democrats in other states feverishly examining Greyhound bus schedules looking for sanctuary states.

Listening to the mainstream news media lately, you'd get the idea that there's nothing they like better than people filling the streets, peacefully but forcefully demanding freedom from government oppression, and insisting that their voices be heard.

Unless, of course, those streets are anywhere in the United States and the protestors are conservative. In which case the media breathlessly describes flag-waving senior citizens as a cross between Al Qaeda and the Ku Klux Klan.

Frankly, we're finding the media's enthusiasm for the Egyptian revolution a bit hard to swallow since they didn't seem to have an opinion until the Whitehouse finally declared they were in favor of the protestors...and only after it was clear which side was going to win.

Moreover, in their rush to support Mr. Obama's endorsement of the protestors, much of the mainstream media is downplaying the significant risks of the Egyptian situation and ignoring the possibility that the current instability could lead to an anti-Western theocracy like that of Iran.

Here at Hope n' Change, we're hoping for the best in Egypt. And we're also hoping (but not expecting) that the mainstream media will be equally accepting of the peoples' call for change when it happens right here in 2012.

The FCC has announced plans to test a new addition to the "Emergency Alert System" in which the president will be able to interrupt all communications and speak to the American public directly in the event of a national emergency which doesn't occur during a vacation, round of golf, or pickup game of basketball.

Of course, this begs the question of exactly what kind of live message we could expect to hear from the alleged president if the feces hits the fan. If a nuke takes out an American city or two, will Mr. Obama hurriedly remind us not to "jump to conclusions" about who to blame? If passenger jets are again used as suicide weapons, will the president seize the airwaves to assure us that "we can absorb a terrorist attack" and that 9/11 made us "stronger" (as well as opening up cheap real estate for Islamic community centers)?

Of course, under extreme pressure it might not really be a great idea to give Mr. Teleprompter a live microphone for unscripted comments. America will not take much comfort from the president's assurance that "all 57 states are safe," jokes about bowling and the Special Olympics, accusations that the Cambridge Police may have again acted stupidly, his confusion about the pronunciation of the words "corps" and "corpse," or a lofty and long-winded lecture on the virtues of quick and abject surrender.

In all seriousness (perhaps even dead seriousness), it's frightening to think that in the event of a truly catastrophic national emergency, systems are being put into place to kill Americans' access to Internet news sources...but make sure that we can instantly get the president's version of events.

Because the only thing we can imagine that would make such a catastrophic day worse is Barack Hussein Obama's assurance that he's in complete control.

shutting down the INTERNET? isnt' that what Mubarack did that everyone thought was soooo terrible?

if it's YOUR chosen dictator, it's ok??

Today, a radioactive cloud will arrive in the United States...and Barack Obama will hightail it out of the country. Which, on the balance, makes it a good day for America.

Unfortunately, the radioactivity will be an ongoing situation, but the alleged president is expected to return in a few days, after tending to economic matters in Brazil which are apparently more urgent than Japan's disasters, Gaddaffi finishing off Libyan rebels while the U.N. debates what color stationery they should pick for sending their belatedly-passed "no fly zone" resolution, and our own government continues to be funded (with borrowed money) for only three weeks.

While in Brazil, Mr. Obama will be sharing his vast economic and business expertise with chief executives of companies that already know how to make things and earn money, after which he will try to wake up the crowd by making balloon animals. Shortly thereafter, the president will fly to a neighboring country where Secret Service agents have told him (trying to keep straight faces) that he will be meeting with Chile's President Con Carne.

But as pointless as this trip seems at first glance, it will actually accomplish a very important goal for the president. Specifically, it gives him six days in which he won't have to answer any questions about why his administration has taken so little action in the face of a world that is going to hell.

http://hopenchangecartoons.blogspot.com/2011/03/march-madness.html

After assuring the world that he was "heartbroken" about the devastation in Japan, Barack Obama went golfing and delivered a comedy monologue for the Gridiron Press Club. Later, he used the entirety of his weekly radio address to talk about possible government actions to address the serious, urgent crisis in...pay inequality for women.

But today, all of that is changing. Because today the president will appear on national television...to give his NCAA College Basketball picks (having actually taped this crucially important announcement yesterday).

Hope n' Change could have a lengthy editorial today about presidential appearances and priorities, about allies and alliances, and about simple human decency and compassion. But frankly, we don't have the time, strength, or the inclination to document the fact that Barack Obama is a soulless bastard.

Especially since it's not necessary to explain anything which is now appallingly obvious to the entire world.

Perhaps owing to the disappointing blow of being forced to cancel his weekend vacation to Colonial Williamsburg (his first vacation in nearly two weeks), Barack Obama opened his heart in an emotionally wrenching media confession, claiming "I just miss...I miss being anonymous."

In fact, the alleged president misses anonymity so much that he's considering making "I Miss Being Anonymous" the title of his third autobiography assuming that Bill Ayers approves.

The heartrending confessions spilled out as Mr. Obama was talking to reporters for Hearst Magazines...because what better forum is there to try to get back your anonymity than a press conference?

"I miss Saturday morning, rolling out of bed, not shaving, getting into my car with my girls, driving to the supermarket, squeezing the fruit, getting my car washed, taking walks. I can't take a walk," sniffled Mr. Obama...obviously confusing himself with FDR.

The saddest man in the world then dabbed his eyes and said that he's not the golf fanatic that everyone accuses him of being, but "it's the only excuse I have to get outside for four hours at a stretch." Oh sure, he could get plenty of sunlight and fresh air mowing the Whitehouse lawn, or helping Michelle weed her yams. But none of those things would really provide the same feeling of carefree freedom that comes from traveling in a 9-car entourage while burning tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars on an extended game of Putt-Putt.

Frankly, Hope n' Change admires Barack Hussein Obama's dream of anonymity, and he can count on us to do whatever we can to help him attain it as soon as possible. Within a couple of years, it would be great for him to go back to being the late-sleeping, unshaven, fruit-squeezing, sidewalk-dwelling guy he was meant to be.

But until then, true "anonymity" will just have to remain an elusive dream for the man with no birth certificate, no school or professional records, no friends from his past, no recollection of the church he allegedly attended for 25 years, or much else.

Hey, rat. Play that sad little song one more time. Suddenly we seem to have tears in our eyes, too...

Physicists and deep thinkers investigating the mysteries of Quantum Mechanics and multiple-realities received a huge boon yesterday (Stephen Hawking was said to be so excited that he twitched an eyebrow) when Secretary of State Hillary "Splitting Headache" Clinton declared the end of causality and the death of Schrödinger's cat by stating that answers - and therefore questions - are completely irrelevant in our universe because "What does it matter?!"

Were our representatives brutally murdered and perhaps sodomized by YouTube protesters, or just by some guys strolling down the street with rocket launchers feeling bored? According to Hillary, "What does it matter?"

Did Obama really beat Al Qaeda, or is it still as big a threat as ever? What does it matter?!
Did Susan Rice and Barack Obama lie, repeatedly, about the attack? What does it matter?!
Did the State Department fail to interview their own survivors in Benghazi to find out what happened? No? What does it matter!?

Did Osama bin Laden bring down the twin towers, or was it George W. Bush? What does it matter?!
Obamacare is causing medical expenses to skyrocket rather than decline. What does it matter?!
Were the Sandy Hook murders committed with handguns, or the "assault weapons" the government is so eagerly trying to ban? What does it matter?!

Is this now officially the worst economic recovery in our nation's history? What does it matter?!
Has Obama's Jobs Council not even pretended to meet in over a year? What does it matter?!
Is one out of four kids in America now using foodstamps? What does it matter?!
Will raising taxes kill more jobs and become a disincentive for investing in America? What does it matter?!

Will Iran soon have nuclear missiles with which to wipe out Israel? What does it matter?!
Did the president of the United States use his inaugural address to viciously attack capitalism and foment class warfare? What does it matter?!

We could could go on and on, but you get the point. We all get the point.  Hillary has coined the perfect phrase to represent the Elitist Left in this country- because nothing matters to them except getting the results they want. No question of morality, responsibility, or even logic. If they think it's the right thing to do, then what does it matter if our nation goes to hell?

And included in their pronouncement is the assumption that the rest of us should presumably STFU and ignore things like cause-and-effect, evidence, accountability, and clear conclusions.

But we won't ignore those things.

Because we know damn well what matters and, unlike our elected enemies of the state, we know why it matters.
