one of the commenters made the observation that most of the 'heros' are men.

and they aren't really that spectacular really...most of them...they are just men, being men...doing what MEN do...protecting those in their 'village'...

This is good stuff. I just wish the videos were more clear. They stand in stark counterpoint to so many occasions where men (and women) just stand around and do nothing in emergencies. Like back in the spring when those two African terrorists hacked a British soldier to death in the street in broad daylight in Woolwich, UK. I couldn't believe the people just walking by the incident in the video.

We would all be so much better off, and safer if more people adopted a "protect the village" mindset.
