There are a whole bunch of silly queens that will vote for H just because of this fluff.

Hillary Clinton released her plan to protect and expand rights for the LGBT community.

Dec 19, 2015 by Logan Anderson

Here's what you need to know.
Hillary is right: "Gay rights are human rights." Period.

While Republicans are attempting to roll back LGBT rights, Hillary’s moving forward—because even though marriage equality is now the law of the land, we still have a lot of work to do to ensure that all LGBT Americans are treated equally under the law.

Hillary has a plan to strengthen LGBT rights as president. Here’s what she’ll do, and why it matters.
lgbt-policy-1

In 31 states, people can get married on a Sunday—and then are at risk of being fired because of their sexual orientation on Monday. We cannot allow discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people to go unchecked in this country.

Hillary has called on Congress to pass the Equality Act, and also supports efforts underway in the courts and in the federal government to clarify that discrimination on the basis of gender identity and sexual orientation is a form of illegal sex discrimination. She will not stop fighting until we secure full equality for LGBT Americans.
lgbt-policy-2

Conversion therapy is the harmful practice of trying to “cure” LGBT and gender-questioning young people. We should be providing LGBT kids with love, support, and compassion—not trying to change their identities.

Hillary will support efforts in Congress and the states to end conversion therapy for minors.
lgbt-policy-3

We have to address the growing crisis of violence against transgender Americans.

This year, at least 22 transgender women—primarily, women of color—have been murdered. And that doesn’t take into account the violence that goes unreported or ignored. People should not have to live in fear because of who they are. Hillary will work with the Department of Justice and the FBI to gather better data on these hate crimes, so that we have more information about this violence—and can put a stop to it.
lgbt-policy-4

Being a good parent has nothing to do with sexual orientation or gender identity. Yet adoption by same-sex couples remains illegal in Mississippi, and even in states where adoption is technically legal, LGBT individuals still face discrimination.

This is not only unfair to would-be parents, but also hurts the hundreds of thousands of children in foster care, who are ready to become part of loving families. Hillary will urge Congress to pass the Every Child Deserves a Family Act, a law that would prohibit federally funded child welfare agencies from discriminating against potential foster or adoptive families because of sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status.
lgbt-policy-5

Studies have shown that pre-exposure prophylaxis (also know as PrEP) is incredibly effective at preventing HIV infection when used as directed.

Hillary will make sure that at-risk communities—including transgender individuals and black men who have sex with men (MSM)—have access to PrEP, by increasing the government’s investment in building awareness of and access to the drug.
lgbt-policy-6

Earlier this year, Republicans in Congress failed to renew the Runaway and Homeless Youth and Trafficking Prevention Act, which provided federal funding for homeless prevention resources, emergency shelters, street outreach, transitional living, and rural assistance.

A disproportionate number of homeless youth are LGBT, and many of them feel like they don’t have anywhere to turn. Hillary will work with Congress to to ensure adequate funding—and safe, welcoming shelter—for homeless youth.

The stakes for LGBT rights are high in this election.

Republican presidential candidates seem determined to undo the progress our nation has made. Every top-tier Republican presidential candidate opposes marriage equality—and Marco Rubio has even suggested he would appoint Supreme Court justices who would overturn it. They’ve gone on the record against anti-discrimination protections for the LGBT community, and some even oppose LGBT couples adopting.

She keeps saying the republicans are trying to take gay rights away. I never understood what "gay rights" are in the first place, but what is she claiming Mr. Trump or Mr. Cruz are planning to do?

Nothing specific. Just like the rest of her platform.

here we go again with this alphabet soup pathology. eeeiiiieeeiiiooooooo

as far as LGBT, the "L" and "G" parts are clear. both the US supreme court, along with state and local laws across the country have extended 14th amendment equal rights to gay men and lesbians - in regard to employment, accomodations, marriage, etc. that battle has been fought and won by the advocates of civil rights for gay men and lesbians and is now settled law. end of story

now what becomes rather comical is the "B" part of the soup. how would bisexuals have rights which are any different from gays or lesbians, or straights? well, they don't! so why put that letter in the LGBT alphabet?  no reason to keep it there,  throw the "B" letter out, it is redundant from a constitutional civil liberties point of view. but who expects logic from the leftists agitators who have taken over the Democrat party?

finally, the flashpoint. the "T". those transsexuals, transgenders, and transvestites. the application of accomodations laws to this 0.3 % of the population is causing the controversy in many parts of the country.

really its simple to understand why the "T" is controversial, not only among conservatives but also moderates and some liberals. who decides what is "T" and what is not "T"?

the only true transgenders are hermaphrodites, humans born with the characteristics of both genders. some 1: 1000000 babies are born with this condition. easily correctable at birth. snip, snip, its a girl! congrats, no accomodations problems. case closed

the rest of the "T" is just utter made up nonsense. it is complete silliness to imagine that because someone imagines that they are of the opposite gender that they should be treated as such and allowed into the bathrooms of the opposite sex. nonsense, these clowns need psychiatric help. case closed.

now for transvestites. an entertainer known as a transvestite or drag queen certainly doesn't need special accomodations. that is their choice to dress as a female, or male I guess, and they make 6 figure incomes putting on shows. The Lady Chablis of Savannah GA ( of "midnight in the garden" fame) is a multimillionaire from her/his nightly shows! Lady Chablis can haul around a portapotty behind her luxury tour bus if she has issues using the mens room.

so, throw the "T" out along with the "B".

so now there is no controversy left,  and Hilllary will have to make up another issue.

I think there is still a controversy because G comes before L in the alphabet and gay men were on the case of gay rights far longer than the gals have been. In fact, it was the AIDS crisis that allowed lesbians to jump in and take over the political landscape founded and created by men. It was always "gay movement". Then the lesbians pushed in to make it GL. Then LG. Then LGBT. Funny how feminists who abhor sexism and sexist power plays are quite good at it.

Grin  ha! "G" before "L", "L" before "G". I am reminded of the Gulliver's Travels stories, and Gulliver's visit to the kingdom of the people who were at war with their neighbors for opening their eggs at the wrong end.

"why don't you know we must destroy our neighbors, they crack open their eggs at the small end!"

The extension of 14th Amendment rights to sexual minorities is still a patchwork across the country when it comes to employment, housing, and public accommodations. And yes, the T crowd is complicating things tremendously. Back when Barney Frank was pushing for passage of ENDA in Congress, he did not include Ts in the language of the bill. That drew huge amounts of fire from the Gay Party. As we have seen many times, Regressives will eat their own if one of them steps out of line ideologically. but Frank was smart enough to know that an ENDA bill that included Ts would be dead on arrival in the House. As it was, there wasn't enough support to pass it when it did come up for a vote. I blame that on the shrieking about marriage from the Gay Party. They put all their time and energy behind the genderless marriage lobby at the expense of employment, housing, and public accommodations. Their priorities are all fucked up.

But what is seething just below the surface with all this kerfluffle over bathrooms, etc. is a fundamental misandry. The Left is painting all men with a broad brush when they claim that trannies who try to use the men's room will get harassed and beat up, as if men aren't mature enough to pee next to a guy in a dress. The Right makes the case that letting males into a woman's room will open the door for men who want to sexually assault women and girls. While that can, does, and will continue to happen, men in general are being further pathologized and scrutinized because of this side of the conversation.

In reality, FtoMs have been using men's rooms all along, quietly and with no fanfare. MtoFs likewise have been using women's rooms all along quietly and with no fanfare. The problem started when the T crowd pressured the Charlotte City Council to pass an ordinance allowing use of bathrooms based on gender identity, rather than biology. Gender-segregated bathrooms were invented to suit the biological needs of the sexes. They were not created to meet the gender identity needs of anyone. The deconstruction of gender is an agenda item for the Regressives, and it is fuelled by third-wave feminism. It is yet another example of cultural Marxism.
